Vinita Nair
Nair joined ABC News in July of 2004, and has since covered many issues, including investigations like the Jon Benet Ramsey investigation, and school shootings that occurred near Bailey, Colorado. Nair started her role as an ABC News anchor/correspondent in December 2007 with ABC News Now. For her work as a reporter, she delivered live reports and briefings to ABC's networks. Nair was the co-anchor for World News Now and America This Morning on ABC beginning on September 17, 2008 until February 18, 2011. The show was hosted by Jeremy Hubbard and later Rob Nelson on both programs. Nair told the viewers on World News Now that she will not appear on World News Now after Friday 18th February 2011. Nair also announced that Friday would be one final day of work for ABC News. The former KDVR Denver anchor Peggy Bunker was her successor immediately. In all three segments of World News Now's February 18 program, Nair was honored by the former and present colleagues, such as Jeremy Hubbard. The crew was treated to breakfast that was hot on her last day.
